After a successful academic and professional career spent in both Canada and Switzerland, Dr. J.-R. Murat became an independent consultant in 2002, specializing in construction project management and litigation consultancy.

Former professor at the Polytechnic School of Montreal, Dr. Murat was in charge of the industrial & commercial building department of BG Bonnard & Gardel Consulting-engineers in Lausanne for 15 years. He thus gained hands on working experience in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.

Since 1984, Dr. Murat has regularly been appointed as an expert witness in a number of disputes in the field of construction (civil engineering, structures, field accidents) as well as being responsible for the management of multi-discipline projects. He is a member of the Swiss Chamber of Forensic Experts.
